Joppa Recovery is one of the local missions Lockwood supports, and is our Mission of the month for February. Read below to find out more about them!

Joppa Recovery is a Christ-centered sober living program for men. The ministry can host up to 10 men who desire to have a relationship or strengthen their existing relationship with Jesus and who want to break the chains of addiction. Matt and Kendra have been serving these men in various ways, including leading weekly Bible studies and reflections, participating in Celebrate Recovery, and holding regular meetings with Matt as well as with men who have graduated from Joppa and are now living free from addiction’s grip.

Matt and Kendra actively live out their faith alongside the men at Joppa. They maintain regular contact with rehabilitation centers and welcome men who are continuing their journey to a new life. While staying at Joppa, men are encouraged to work (if able), helping cover housing costs. Joppa Recovery is a much-needed source of Christ-centered truth, offering encouragement in the difficult journey of maintaining freedom from addiction and providing practical help for those who have struggled. Lockwood has sponsored Joppa Recovery for several years and is looking forward to continuing this partnership.

Please pray for Matt, Kendra, the men at Joppa, their board, and volunteers. For more information, visit www.jopparecovery.com.

We are excited to announce that we now have our own baptismal! On Sunday, January 25, we used our baptismal for the very first time. If you would like to learn more about baptism or are interested in being baptized, please contact the church office or talk with one of our Elders or Pastors. "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," Matthew 28:19
