Annual Kids’ Carnival: What A Wonderful Day

What a wonderful day at Lockwood Community Church! Our annual Kids’ Carnival was a huge success, and we’re so thankful for everyone who helped make it possible.

This year marked the third annual Kids’ Carnival, and once again, we were excited to welcome families from throughout our community. What began as a fun event for kids has continued to grow each year, with more families and children joining us every time.

One of the things we love most about the Carnival is seeing people from all walks of life come together. We welcomed families who attend church, families who don’t, and people from different faith backgrounds—all coming together to enjoy a free afternoon of games, food, fun, and fellowship. It was a wonderful opportunity to open our doors and simply enjoy time with our community.

Of course, an event like this doesn’t happen without a lot of people working behind the scenes. We are incredibly thankful for everyone who volunteered to run games, set up and tear down, make cookies, cook and serve food, and donate prizes. Every contribution, big or small, helped make the day special for the families who attended.

Most of all, we’re grateful for the opportunity to serve our community and provide a place where families can come, have fun, and feel welcome. We look forward to seeing how God continues to use this event in the years to come!

Friday Night Volleyball is Here!

If you were at the church campout this year, you already know how fast an impromptu volleyball game can turn into the highlight of the weekend. We had so much fun playing together that a few of us couldn’t wait until next year's campout to do it again—so Friday Night Volleyball was born!

We've been meeting every week at the church, and we’d love for you to join us.

The Details

• When: Every Friday at 6:00 PM

• Where: The church backyard field

Main Court (Ages 15+) To keep games moving and competitive, players on the main court should be at least 15 years old and have a grasp of basic volleyball skills (passing, setting, and basic court positioning).

Kids & Family Area Don't hesitate to bring the whole family! While the main court is running, kids usually take over the surrounding grass and playground for soccer, tag, or setting up their own casual volleyball game.

Bring a water bottle, bring a friend or neighbor, and come ready to play. See you on the field this Friday!
